Team & Project Leading
« Trust, empower and smile »
My journey took an unexpected turn when I joined Dorel (MaxiCosi-BébéConfort-Safety 1st) as a Concept Engineer and unexpectedly became a Project Leader. Despite the surprise, I embraced the challenge.
The transition was tough, filled with obstacles like miscommunication, poor scheduling, and budget issues. Battling impostor syndrome, I committed to overcoming these hurdles. Through perseverance, my team and I launched the award-winning safety baby carrycot, Maxi-Cosi/Bébé Confort Jade.
Relocating to the UK introduced me to a positive management style based on Hertzberg’s theory, emphasizing empowerment, psychological safety, and stress relief. This approach transformed my management philosophy to focus on clear communication, collaborative scheduling, and team well-being.
With that in mind, I always take care of holding regular one-on-one and status meetings to maintain focus and morale, addressing serious challenges in a relaxed setting to encourage open discussions.
Get inspired, stay optimistic, smile.
From a young age, I was passionate about design, but my early career took me into the industrial sector. I serviced industrial robots and worked with automotive coatings, which enhanced my technical skills but eventually felt unfulfilling. This led me to pursue my childhood dream of becoming a car designer at Strate College in Paris, where I joined a partnership with General Motors. However, I soon realized car design wasn’t for me.
A pivotal moment came when I saw a man in a wheelchair struggle with a broken elevator at a mall. This inspired me to become a product designer focused on creating life-enhancing products. I graduated with a project on urban wheelchairs for active individuals with disabilities, earning high praise.
Since then, I have developed my skills in 2D sketching, storytelling, 3D modeling, wireframing, prototyping, creating impactful products like baby car seats, wheelchairs, wearable medical pumps and corresponding apps & screenflows. My design approach combines creativity with pragmatism, always aiming to solve real user problems and implement feasible solutions. Even though my creativity goes wild when in creativity phases, I stick to a « no nonsense » personal policy.
I’m excited about what the future holds as I continue to enhance people’s lives through thoughtful design.

Human Factor Engineering / Usability Engineering
« Improve the Ux and kill the critical risks »
After gaining extensive experience in Industrial Design and Team/Project management, I realized I wanted to deepen my expertise in User Experience Design (UxD).
To achieve this, I chose to step down from my leadership role and broaden my skills horizontally. During my search, I discovered a Usability Engineer position that was particularly meaningful to me. I seized the opportunity and delved into the intricacies of Human Factor engineering.
This role extended beyond traditional User Experience by integrating the critical concept of risk, which can significantly influence product design. Sometimes, ensuring safety can even compromise ease of use.
A prime example is found in your car: have you ever wondered why you need to press the brake while pressing the « Start » button? Simply pressing the « Start » button would be easier, but the added step mitigates the risk of the car leaping forward if a gear is engaged.
